Tools, exchanges of experience and strategies for adapting entrepreneurial support models
Why did we create this webinar?
Pre-seed and seed-stage entrepreneurs are at the heart of innovation and job creation in West Africa. Yet many of them continue to face barriers that limit their ability to build sustainable businesses, particularly when it comes to accessing and using digital tools to operate, grow and access markets.
Entrepreneurship support organizations (ESOs) are often the first - and most reliable - source of support for these entrepreneurs. As the digital economy expands, ESOs have the opportunity to integrate digital tools not only into the services they offer, but also into their own operations, making their programs more accessible, responsive and adaptive.
The objectives of the webinar
This webinar will bring together ESOs, ecosystem facilitators and digital solution providers from Benin, Togo and Senegal to:
- Share experiences of using digital tools to provide coaching, mentoring and training at a distance or in hybrid mode.
- Explore how ESOs create digital communities of practice and peer learning.
- Identify approaches and tools to help start-up entrepreneurs adopt simple, effective digital solutions tailored to their needs.
Through concrete examples and open exchanges, this session will bring out practical lessons and strategies that ESOs can adapt to strengthen their support models in an increasingly digital environment.
Keynote speakers
- Capucine Gonnord, IYB-SEED expert, Enabel: will set the scene by outlining the challenges and opportunities for ESOs in Benin, Togo and Senegal. She will explain why digital adoption is crucial today, and what this means for them.
- Babacar Birane, Concree, Senegal: will present how artificial intelligence can be used by ESOs to support early-stage entrepreneurs.
- Francis Bokossa, Blolab, Benin: will present how physical and digital labs can serve as accessible entry points to digital learning, experimentation and entrepreneurial development, particularly for youth and informal sector entrepreneurs in the pre-seed and seed stages.
- The webinar will be animated by Leva Rouhani, Hwefa Consult.
