Supporting women entrepreneurs in key and innovative sectors
EMERGING Valley is an international summit dedicated to accelerating innovation, startups, and tech investments between Africa and Europe. It offers a unique setting to discover the innovations of tomorrow, exchange ideas with the key players who are bringing them to life, and co-create solutions to major global challenges.
Once again this year, we had the pleasure of taking part, participating in various round tables, meeting our partners, and supporting women entrepreneurs, particularly those who are innovating in key sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), and demonstrating how Africa is building technological solutions adapted to its realities.
Women in AI
The teams from IYBA-SEED, SEW, and Expertise France organized a roundtable discussion “AI for Women: Perspectives from African Women” with:
- Diyé Dia, founder of Aristac,
- Fanny Muamba, founder of the Women In Tech Global network.
This round table was moderated by Seynabou Thiam, founder of Smart Ecosystem for Women, and was recorded and will be part of our PARCOURS podcast, which highlights inspiring women entrepreneurs.
These informative discussions provided an opportunity to address the vast prospects of AI in Africa, an AI that serves the real needs of countries and also takes into account all the realities of the grounds.
These women, who are already at the discussion table and have taken action, are encouraging African women to build the AI of tomorrow in all fields: scientific, political, ethical, legal... for a frugal and inclusive AI that creates value and entrepreneurial projects.
